Care for the elderly, whether at home or in a nursing home, must be guaranteed for the future. However, future-proof elderly care does not happen by itself. There is an increasing demand for care, while the supply of healthcare professionals and informal care cannot grow. This is a challenge that requires change. Fortunately, there are many ideas and innovations that can help. Unfortunately, few of these innovations manage to succeed because they cannot achieve sufficient scale, the financial incentives in the healthcare system are complex, or adoption is simply too slow.

That is why innovation and investment company CbusineZ (affiliated with health insurer CZ) and fourteen progressive healthcare organizations have joined forces in the Innovatiefonds Ouderenzorg (IFOZ) Foundation. IFOZ invests in companies that help make elderly care future-proof.
